Friday, May 18th - KYLE BUSCH FOUNDATION GATHERING
After the launch of the foundation, Kyle had been blessed by one of his Nextel Cup Sponsors. CARQUEST was kind enough to donate 50 tickets to the kids from the Carolina Children’s Home through the Church of God in Concord, NC. The kids were able to come and what the race, Rosario’s and Subway located in Concord, NC donated lunch and dinner for the kids to enjoy the day of the race. Kyle’s assistant Becky Hopkins went to the home during the week to give the kids their goodie bags and tell them about the tickets to the race. They were so excited and Becky said the look on the kids faces were priceless. Kyle wasn’t able to attend but Becky had a great time surprising the kids on Kyle’s behalf. The foundation needs items for donation and you can go to “How You Can Help” tab to see what they need.
Tuesday, June 12th
The musical group, The Las Vegas, visited the St. John’s home and surprised everyone with equipment for their music room. The Las Vegas is featured on www.kylebusch.com and once they heard that Kyle was helping this children’s home they wanted to do something to help. One of the band members is from Michigan so they decided the best way they could help Kyle’s foundation was to take all the of their old music equipment and donate it to the home for the kids and staff. Thank you to The Las Vegas for their generous donation.
Wednesday, October 10th
The Evernham Foundation was kind enough to invite Kyle to their First Annual Car Show at the Cabarrus County Arena. Kyle entered the first truck he ever bought; a Chevy S-10 which he recently had redone. He also entered his Banshee that was build from the ground up and painted to match his motorcoach. Kyle had a great time talking to Ray and to the fans about all the vehicles being displayed. Kyle was glad that he could help out a great friend’s foundation.
Wednesday, October 17th
Kyle Busch stopped by to see the kids and staff at the Church of God Children’s Home in Concord, NC to have a pizza party. Kyle got to speak to the kids and answer questions about racing and fun facts. Kyle signed autographs and had a chance to talk to the kids one on one. Everyone finished the night with a pizza party from CiCi’s. We would like to thank everyone for letting Kyle come by and visit. |
