09.25.07 - Kyle Busch Foundation to adorn USAC Midget in season final
Hawk-Gaerte Motorsports, driver Paul Gray will carry KBF colors at Berlin
MOORESVILLE, NC (September 24, 2007) – The Kyle Busch Foundation will ride shotgun with Hawk-Gaerte Motorsports and driver Paul Gray when Gray takes to Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan for the season finale of the USAC Regional Midget Series.
The team has generously donated the space on its No. 28 entry, hoping to increase awareness for the Kyle Busch Foundation. For foundation founder Kyle Busch, this is a mere starting point for his fledging charitable organization.
For Busch and his foundation, this trip is a homecoming of sorts. The Kyle Busch Foundation was started because of a visit Kyle made to the St. John’s Children’s Home located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Busch and his employees couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to promote the foundation where the idea all began.
“I’m thankful that Paul and the Hawk-Gaerte team are willing to do this,” said Busch, a four-time race winner in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. “This foundation is a big part of my life and I’m glad to have someone else in the racing industry embrace it as well. This is one step of many in spreading the word of the Kyle Busch Foundation.
“Hopefully, Paul can put the Kyle Busch Foundation Midget in victory lane,” Busch continued. “It’s not everyday I have the opportunity to become a winning sponsor but I’m excited about that possibility.”
The Kyle Busch Foundation was established in 2006 to benefit child and adolescent agencies such as St. John’s Children’s Home in providing safe living environments for less fortunate children. For more information, please visit kylebuschfoundation.org.
